How many times have you prayed and begged for God to move, but you see nothing?
I have. I begged God to heal my mom. I begged for more faith. I begged for anything!
“Father, please please please please please increase my faith.”
(like the more times I say please, the more likely He will do it.)
I will do anything if you will just give it to me. Let’s go. Send me. Okay…I am waiting.
I’m not the only one who who’s begged for more faith…
The dicisples did this too in Luke 17.
“The apostles<span class="crossreference" data-cr="#cen-NIV-25657H" data-link="(H)” style=”box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 22px; position: relative; top: 0px; vertical-align: top;”> said to the Lord,<span class="crossreference" data-cr="#cen-NIV-25657I" data-link="(I)” style=”box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 22px; position: relative; top: 0px; vertical-align: top;”> “Increase our faith!”
Look at Jesus response!
6 He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed,<span class="crossreference" data-cr="#cen-NIV-25658J" data-link="(J)” style=”box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 22px; position: relative; top: 0px; vertical-align: top;”> you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.”
He’s saying you do not need MORE faith. No! The tiniest of faith is more than enough that you could speak to a MOUNTAIN and it would be uprooted and thrown into the sea! You have ALL the faith you need!
We don’t need more faith! We need our faith to be pure and undiluted by the hurts, bitterness, and unforgivness we have in our hearts! Many times we you fail to see the thing you are hoping for come to pass, a little bit of doubt creeps in and dilutes your ability to fully believe God!
You don’t need more faith! Clean up your broken heart so that you can trust fully in Jesus and the Word of God!
How?
Matthew 17:21 and Mark 9:29 answer this for us!
“But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” Matthew 17:21
Many people pray and fast to GET GOD TO MOVE, but prayer and fasting is to get YOUR HEART TO MOVE – to align with God’s heart – to delete the old hurt, unbelief, and bitterness weeded out of your heart!
Let’s study it and talk about this. It’s a big subject! If we can truly understand this, it changes everything!

Thanks Sheri! Great reminder that God has given to us a “measure” of faith. Like those muscles we have and don't use, faith is a muscle. If we continue to exercise it, it will continue to grow in us until it becomes part of us.
