Jesus Wants Your Heart

Ephesians 2:8-9: “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith- and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast.”

God did not create us to be His worker bees. We were created to love Him, who loved us first.

Now do not misinterpret what I am saying. Yes, Jesus wants us to do good works. He even calls us to do so.

“I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father.” (John 14:12-13)

So, yes, He is pleased when we do good works, but He does not require us to.

He just wants us to put the relationship with Him first. In Matthew 6, Jesus tells us not to worry about food, clothes, etc. He says, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (Matthew 6:33)

He wants our hearts more than He wants our works. That’s why He made salvation a gift. He did not want us to work for it. He wanted it to be freely given because He loves us. He would like us to love Him in return.

“Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” (John 4:8)

Praise the Lord! Isn’t that good news? We never have to work for His affection or His love. Go and tell everyone! He loves everyone-even His children who do not know Him or speak against Him.

I pray that every day, you grow closer to Jesus and learn to love Him even more. I also pray that everyone around you would be able to see the love and want to learn more about Jesus. 🙂 I also pray that you do not grow weary. Ever. I pray that you never let anything steal your joy!

Have a wonderful day!

Love, Kathleen 🙂

She’s the older one.

Kathleen is one of two of my baby sisters. When I say baby, I am young enough to be my own baby. 🙂 I love her heart for God. The Truth in her has blown up and now produces unbelievable fruit every day. She wrote this a while back, but you can see she’s been a devoted studier of the Word for many years now. She now leads our Youth Group called Original Design!
They study – who is God and what were you originally designed for? It’s awesome!

Do you believe, that as a Christ follower, you are a new creation?

When I first got saved nothing changed in my life. I got saved because I learned about Hell and I was scared! I didn’t want to spend eternity there! So I called on Jesus and He became my Savior. But that was all He was to me. I still thought I was a bad person and I thought I would always be sinful. I thought the only time I would ever be forgiven was when I died.

Then I learned that being a Christian wasn’t just about knowing Jesus as you Savior- it was about having a real and intimate relationship with Him. This forever changed my life. Thanks to my awesome family!- 🙂 I leaved that I was forgiven the moment I gave my life to Jesus. I realized I was a new creation. No longer was I a slave to sin but I was cleansed by the Blood of Jesus. “For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.”(Romans 6:14)

Jesus put His cloak around me and showed me that His cloak was not only stainless but it was also stain proof!! He showed me that He never sees me for the mistakes that I have made! Instead He sees me as Holy and Blameless in His sight! “For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.” (Ephesians 1:4)

This caused me to realize that I no longer had to live condemned. I no longer had to live under the law. I realized that I was a sinner saved by GRACE. All this revelation changed my life! “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1)

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith- and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

I realized I was no longer who I once was! Instead I was a new creation! “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

I pray that all of you may be blessed by this Truth! I pray that it will set you free! I pray that you will pray without ceasing and ask God to reveal this revelation to you! I pray that you will share this good news with everyone around you! I pray this revelation will be an overflow in your heart and that it will spill out to everyone around you!

Have a wonderful day!

Love, Kathleen 🙂
