Have you ever wanted someone else’s life? Physical body? Job? Car? House? Wisdom? Ministry?
I have.
I came from a hard past and a sinful background. Because of these 4 R’s, I went from hating myself and wanting what everyone else had to loving what I have. It’s more than enough.
The number one question I am asked is: “How can I get what you have?”
- Revelation — Lay down all your prayer requests and ask God for revelation. I prayed this for years, and He gave it! I prayed Ephesians 1:17-21 over myself. Start asking for revelation today.
- Renovate Stinking Thinking — Just as it is hard to renovate an old home, it takes time, dedication, and hard work to commit to a lifestyle of renovating your thinking. How do I do this, you ask? It’s a lifestyle. Read your Bible. Don’t just pick a verse. Start with a book or a chapter and read through it. Memorize the verses that stand out to you so you can think about them throughout the day. This takes time. Start today. In time, you will see results!
- Rely on God — When you renovate the house, it’s easy to see the flaws in your work because you made the flaws. Stop. When renovating your mind, don’t focus on the flaws or your past. Don’t look back. Look forward. (See Isaiah 43:18-19.)
- Resist — Our friends renovated a crack house. After they finished, it was beautiful and valuable, so they put a large fence around their property to protect it. Put a large fence around your mind and REJECT anything that comes against the renovating truths growing in your mind.
Are you in the stage of needing revelation, renovating, relying, or resisting? What commitment will you make today to move toward deeper spiritual transformation?
